WAY OF HOLINESS

Isaiah 35:8  (Message)  "There will be a highway called the Holy Road.  No one rude or rebellious is permitted on this road.  It's for God's people exclusively...impossible to get lost on this road.  Not even fools can get lost on it."

As I was reading Isaiah, this scripture glowed up at me.  After so much judgment, finally redemption, restoration of the Lord, and the joy of His children.  As I read about how the Lord was restoring, loving, and got to this scripture, a highway, the NIV calls it the Way of Holiness.  The Message calling it the Holy Road.  I can see the Holy Road being traveled by those who have trusted in the Lord, giving themselves wholly into His care.  But I see the Way of Holiness as something slightly different.  I see traveling on the Holy Road only after you have achieved the Way of Holiness.  Becoming holy in God's sight, in His service, being transformed from the life you lived before He took you unto Himself, before being born again in the redemptive blood of Jesus, becoming one with the Lord.  Now wearing that cloak of holiness, you then begin to travel on the Holy Road.

Can't you picture it...walking along the Holy Road, no fears as there are no stumbling blocks here.  No temptations causing you to fall in your walk, as they are not allowed here.  Finally, a place in your walk with the Lord where true faith has been achieved.  Totally dependant upon the Lord, having received the trust of God, that you will not be turning away, never taking your eyes off of Him, off His beautiful face.  His glory, His power, His love having brought you through each step of your walk, all the heartache, all the failures, all the sin....all the sin.  And now, knowing in your heart, in your soul,  your true love the Father, and rejoicing in that glorious relationship you now have with Him.  Knowing the Father's voice, knowing He loves you passionately, knowing you love Him with your very breath, so wonderful, so precious is this love.  And now traveling the road you so fought to be on with Him, and it is now so easy.

Live can get easier than we usually know it.  I know the enemy takes every chance to get to you, cause you problems, heartache.  But it is possible to walk past that.  It is how you look at the problems, that is the answer.  If you look at the problems that satan is causing and surcome to them, he wins.  If you pronounce yourself sick at the beginning of sniffles, he wins.  If he brings sinful thoughts to your mind, and you act on them, he wins.  When problems come at you, do not give in to them. Instantly take them to the Lord, give Him those problems, for you know you can do nothing with it and you should know that God can and will take care of it.  He is waiting always for you to give Him your battles. He wants to fight them for you.  He is your Father, He loves you. Sniffles are just sniffles if you don't pronounce yourself sick right away. How many times have you heard someone say, I think I am getting sick.  Now why would you say that?  Don't think you are getting sick. There are times you will get sick without your saying so.  The words of our mouths will get us every time.  We defeat ourselves with the words of our mouths. But that is for another day.  Sinful thoughts can be removed, just began to call on the Name of Jesus.  It is only sin if you act on them.  Jesus can and will remove those thoughts from your mind.  From the place where satan put those thoughts, Jesus can replace them with peace and joy.

Walk in the Spirit, live in the Spirit, fellowship in the Spirit.  When you can lay all things at the foot of the cross, laying all your burdens aside, taking up the easy, carefree, blessed yoke of the Father, you can walk on the Holy Road.  Free to laugh, free to sing, free to dance.  God blessing all His children with a Holy Road, an easy of life....yes, you can actually, say you are walking on "Easy Street".  That is a good analogy of it.  You will have finally made it to Easy Street.  All of us dream of living on that road, traveling down it, with no burdens, no fears, no cares.  Just freedom of heart, soul, your life finally enthroned in God's will, God's love.

My Lord, thank you, I thank you from my heart, my soul.  I feel I have faith to move mountains.  You have made me so strong, in you I know I have all my hearts desire, nothing lacking.  I have so much more that I ever dreamed.  Some people want to win the lottery, some people want fame and fortune; but my Lord God, my Glorious Father, I have it all, I have it all in You.  I want to walk the Way of Holiness, as You have given me a robe of righteousness, a glorious ray of wisdom in You, and the precious knowledge that You have me in the palm of Your hand, and I have no fear.  No fear, ever again.  I am safe, safe in You. There is nothing to harm me on the Holy Road.  It is in You, this Holy Road.

Precious Lord, how I love you.  There is not a moment I do not want to be worshiping Your Holy Name.  I sing praises to You, Father, I live to sing to You.  This 10th day of March, 2011, there is gladness and joy in my heart as I feel Your presence with me now, here, in this room, as You stand beside me, giving me Your words and thoughts to write, as I am drawn into Your arms, for rest and love; to fellowship with You, tonight.
