WHAT DO YOUR EYES SEE?

Matthew 6:22,23  "The eye is the lamp of the body.  If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness.  If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness."

You have heard the expression, a glass being half full or half empty.  How do you see the glass?  When there is only half of water in there, what do you say it is.  This truly determines light and darkness in your life.  Those who see a glass as half full, are usually people whose spirits are light, happy and looking for someone to encourage.  They see good more often than not, and they look for the Lord each day, expecting Him to join them for a visit and they know they will be blessed that day.

Those who see the glass as half empty, these folks are usually pessimistic about their life. Nothing is going right, life is unfair, if only...if only...if only.  Well, the if onlys will not make a difference. The only thing that will make a difference is a change of your heart, a change of your spirit, a change of attitude.  You are a child of the Almighty God, the Giver of all things to His children.  What do you see half empty about the promises of God?  God does not do things half way, He fulfills all His promises to completion. He promises a good life to all those who will come to Him, give their lives over to Him for His perfect control, no questions asked, complete forgiveness of your past, and an unconditional love that will give you His perfect peace.  You need to change the way you see things.  Stop looking for someone to do you evil, to harm you.  Trust God, He will keep you in His perfect plan.  He will not let harm come to you, and if someone tries to do you evil, He will repay them, you do not have to worry or do anything yourself.

See what you will.  That is what this is about.  But it is what you will that will make a difference in whether your life is lived in light, God's Light, or in darkness, darkness of the enemy.  You cannot be walking in the Light of God and be a half empty Christian.  God will see to it that your cup overflows on a continual basis when you see Him in His fullness.  Set your eyes on the Lord, do not look to see what is happening around you.  Don't worry if the enemy tries to tell you things are not going to be good for you today.  Stop listening to those thoughts from satan, he cannot see what you do, he does not know the bond between you and the Father. Well, yes, he may know, but trust me when I say unless you give him an opening, there is nothing he can do to separate you from God.  Nothing will separate you from the love of God.

So what are you pessimistic about?  That is an attitude, and we can change attitudes.  It will take some work, especially if you have always been this way, but our Lord can make a difference if you will let Him.  The Holy Spirit, once released in you, will begin to convict you of all those thoughts that have taken up residence in your spirit.  He will begin to show you what you are letting control your thoughts, bringing darkness into your life instead of the light  that is available to you.  What have you got to lose?

Let your glass begin to be half full, always life in fullness, it is the Fathers way.  He wants to supply you the fullness of His love, His spirit, His blessings.  Those of you, as I, that have always seen a half full glass, begin to pray today for your brothers and sisters in the Lord, that they will release themselves totally to God and let Him produce in them an overflowing power of the Holy Spirit to show them the light, to open their eyes to see fullness, fullness in the Lord.

My Lord, how I worship You and glorify You for Your words to me.  You never let me down, never fail to supply the words needed here.  You want so much for Your children to live the very richest of lives, so full of the blessings You have for all of us. I exalt Your Holy Name this day, my God, as You have given to me Light in my life.  You are my Light, the Light of my life, my love, my everything.  I adore you my Lord, on this 6th day of February, 2011.
